If your moving house then the one thing you grow to love is packaging tape. You may think I’m joking but if you use the correct packing tape and packaging tape dispenser it can save you a lot of time and effort. Packaging tapes can be your best friend once you have to get stuck into all those hundreds of boxes. You just need to make sure you buy the correct type of quality packaging tape and get the correct tape dispenser.

Package Tape Types

There are numerous types of tape made today but some are useless when it comes to packing boxes. You need to buy packaging tape that is wide enough (about 3 or 4 inches) and thick enough. It also must be made of the sturdy material. Your regular kind of scotch tape is not going to be good enough. It is too narrow and not adhesive enough. You will need to get your hands on some proper scotch packaging tape or some other similar good quality adhesive packaging tape. This usually comes in a brown colour but on the odd occasion can also be white/clear. Scotch packaging tape is a great start but if you truly want to get some tape that will not fall apart; you need to buy duct tape. Duct tape is silver in colour and has fibres woven into its material. This provides an excellent adhesive tape that will not split of break. These two types of tapes are more expensive but they are needed if you are going to doing any type of serious moving.

Packaging Tape Dispensers

You will also need to buy the correct tape dispenser. This dispenser should be hand held and easy to apply. These types of dispensers with a handle can also be more expensive but they are well worth the investment. They provide an easy to apply action with sharp teeth to tear through the tape when finished.

If you have a big moving job ahead of you with lots of boxes to pack you must get the proper gear. This should be the first thing to get on your moving house checklist. House moving is a big hassle, but it can be even worse if you don’t get the right packaging products.
